Our Statement of
Faith:
We believe that Jesus Christ is the human manifestation of our Creator,
and that His Words are the authority for life and living for those who
believe in Him. We believe that faith in Jesus is manifested by
obedience to His Words, and by living righteously through the power of
His Holy Spirit.
Love can only be understood through the irreducible characteristics of
God: Holy, Faithful, Just and True.
He has shown you mortal men what is good; and what does the
Lord require of you? Be just with others; love mercy for others; and
walk in righteousness before Him. Micah 6.8
The purpose of Theophile International Inc., a nonprofit corporation
for "religion" is: Teach the Words of Jesus; Do His works (Luke
4.18,19); fellowship with those of like mind and spirit; and, to
provide ministerial certification for those who need
government-required credentials for ministry in the public sector, for
followers of Jesus who understand that His Church is beyond walls,
constrained by Love.
Membership
Information
Theophile
International is a
Voluntary Association. Membership in Theophile is for those followers
of Jesus Christ who agree with the Statement of Faith and Purpose
Statement of Theophile International.
Membership in Theophile International is for followers of Jesus who
seek an expression of fellowship that does not follow the doctrines and
ecclesiastical system and traditions of churchianity. It is for those
who believe their purpose as disciples of Jesus is to be obedient to
the Words of Jesus, live righteously by the empowerment of His Holy
Spirit, and fulfill our Mandate as recorded in Luke 4.18,19
While Theophile International recognizes that there are specialized
ministries that require certification for functioning in governmentally
regulated activities and institutions, we do not recognize that
ministry, per se, requires special "ordination". We believe that all
disciples are ministers and that all ministers are servants. Those who
believe that there is a separation between "clergy and laity", and that
additional doctrines and submission to ecclesiastical authority are
also required, have not found the right fellowship for them in
Theophile.
Membership in Theophile International is a statement by each person
that we are called to live righteously, living obedient to Jesus'
Words. Membership in Theophile entitles each one to vote at the Annual
Meeting on all matters relevant to membership. Membership is a
statement of support of Theophile, and a promise to support the work of
Theophile as God enables.
Members will be invited to participate in fellowship and teaching
sessions on the Internet each month.
If any member finds themselves in opposition to the teachings and
practices of Theophile International, their only redress is to
dissassociate themselves from Theophile International, because this is
a Voluntary Association. However, if any officer of Theophile
International is known to be living immorally, and is not removed by
the Board of Trustees, a vote may be called for on the matter by any
member at the Annual Meeting. A two-thirds vote to remove the officer
will be required for the removal to be final.
If you are in agreement with these principles, please proceed to the Application for
Membership
